My Friends,

The New Year has arrived, and our 2020 Northern Ohio Chapter SCI Banquet is not that far away!

Every year we send out this letter reminding everyone that our banquet is approaching and how important each of you are to our Chapter’s ability to continue to defend our hunting rights and heritage. I want to thank you again for your commitment to the work of SCI on the local and national level. With your participation, every year we contribute thousands of dollars to important outdoors educational programs, veteran programs, our own OH DNR District 3 along with the hunting advocacy work of our national organization.

It has been another tumultuous year for hunting! I personally see no end in sight to the challenges we face to the hunting way of life. Ours is a good way – the blending of family, friends and traditions with the outdoors. The respectful and sustainable use of the resources God provided for us. As hunters; WE are the true conservationists; WE truly care about the wildlife and its habitat; We carry the financial burden of funding state and federal wildlife enforcement and management programs. Do not believe for a single moment that the anti-hunting behemoths we face every day have any actual interest in the wildlife! Their sole purpose, their entire agenda has a singular goal – the elimination of ALL hunting!! Not just lions or elephants in Africa but ducks and geese, elk and deer and yes, even the squirrel. They are extremely adept at indoctrinating the “meat comes from the grocery store” crowd to their anti-hunting, animal rights way point of view.

Like the NRA, Safari Club International is out there, fighting the battles for all hunters. We must defend hunting in the same way we defend the Second Amendment! Like the anti-gun groups, no concession will ever be enough for the anti-hunting crowd!

Our annual banquet is our primary fundraiser – it is where SCI chapters all around the world raise money used to combat the constant onslaught of anti-hunting attacks.

Each year we strive to deliver a venue with great food, raffle and silent auctions and quality live auction items. We return to the Knights of Columbus Center in Massillon again this year - continuing to deliver more value to our guests. The open bar returns as does a serious focus on offering more local area and US based hunting and fishing trips. As always, the evening will include vendor booths, exciting raffles and auction items, special guests and a dynamic program.

Join us for our 2019 banquet scheduled for Saturday, March 21st at the Knights of Columbus Center in Massillon, Ohio. It’s easy to reserve and pay for your seats online at www.nohiosafariclub.org or return the enclosed form by mail and your tickets will be mailed to you. You can also contact us directly at 330-416-9786 or fax your completed form to 330.255.6165.

Please take a moment now to return your form and set aside the evening of Saturday, March 21st, 2020 for this important and fun event!

Sincerely,
